I bought it in January and started riding in February. Now my commute is a high point of my day. It's 22.5 miles, a 45-mile round trip. There's a 1400 ft elevation gain on the homeward leg and a 1000 ft elevation gain in the AM. I use levels 1-3 on the way, and 1-4 going home. Each way I run through at least 60% of the battery, so I bring the charger. I can get to work in 70 minutes, and 90 minutes going home. I do this twice a week. I'm 61, 6'1", 195#, so I bought the large. I'm right at the minimum insertion line, so I wish the seatpost were a little longer. So will you if you are taller than 6'. An aftermarket post won't cut it, I like the rear light. Is there a way to keep the lights on even in daylight? There seems to be an automatic shut-off. You've got to understand, this is the most fun I've ever had in my long history of commuting by bike. You should buy one of these.
My wife and I purchased two and what a great experience. We take him down to Monterey and ride along the coast. The bikes are so quiet and built extremely well. We always get excited for a next ride. Thank you so much.
After years of thinking (dreaming) about getting a roadster of my own, on my 68th birthday I finally took the plunge and Ive never looked back. I’ve ridden several popular e-bikes over the past 5 years and even built my own but NOTHING compares.
The fit, finish and attention to the most minute detail are second to none.
Eddie listened to my ideas and made my Vintage roadster a bespoke masterpiece. I also had the pleasure of meeting and taking delivery of my dream from Andrew, the mastermind behind these amazing bikes.
Thanks Guys!
You’re awesome.
The best customer service on the planet. They upgraded my Roadster to 72 volts after a couple of years and have provided outstanding service ensuring my bike is at its best. They are really focused on building a great bike that lasts. All I
Can say is wow.
This is our second bike! The first one has over 5000 miles on it and still going strong. Loving the updated battery and range on the new bike and even the updated kickstand is an improvement!
We now have 2 Vintage e-bikes; one bought from the store in Santa Clara and another bought second hand. They were very helpful in the store, let us ride the demo bikes, and were great to discuss different buying options. They will even did service on the bike I bought used, replacing some of the parts and making sure everything was in working order. When we began looking at e-bikes, we found they all looked so mundane that nothing really struck our interest. Vintage bikes are fun to ride, useful, and good-looking.
Can't say enough about these bikes. The aesthetics speak for themselves. The build quality of these bikes is incredible in the era of cheap ebikes from abroad. I have 7 ebikes in my household and honestly... Unless I'm doing serious mountain biking, I always take one of the VEBs. Started with a 72V throttle roadster and now a pedal assist Rally. Couldn't be happier with both. I told Eddie to teach our when he builds a bike tailored for smaller riders and I'll be getting one for the wife too. They are a little spendy but you get what you pay for! Just do it!
I thought my Shelby was the top bike made. When Eddie offered me a chance to have one of the limited red ,i was not sure it would improve on the Shelby..Yet once here i love the vintage color,,the brakes are very smooth..and the power feels more effortless..All in all it was worth doing thanks to all the team
My Cafe is the bike that I should have gotten first. Excellent customer relations!
I have not received my bike yet, but it isn’t reached the timeframe that they gave me but the customer service and the ease and comfort of the employees and owner in the shop was great. They took me back showed me the service area showed me options. explained everything in the history of their bikes I was quite pleased. Can’t wait to my EV bike.
Eddy and Cory gave me an awesome buying experience with vintage E bikes, I just had my knee replacement surgery and I previously was riding a standard beach cruiser my neighborhood, I knew I wanted to buy something easier on my knees so I started researching E bikes and vintage E bikes by far is the most reliable, best looking, and most comfortable to ride; and it also looks more like a standard beach cruiser type That I’m used to. I highly recommend if you ever have knee replacement surgery, this is the bike to buy.
Actually, whatever your reason for looking into an electric bike, this is the way I would go….. I’m incredibly happy with my purchase and looking forward to years of use riding my Vintage Classic E Bike.
Eddie and staff provided awesome customer service and available to answer any questions I had regarding my purchase. I was so impressed with the quality of the of the bike that I just had to purchase another!!! Bravo Vintage!!!
I’ve had three Vintage Electric Trackers across the last 5.5 years and there’s a reason I keep coming back - it’s truly a bike you turn around and look back at (particularly when adding a side car for your two year old!), the performance is fantastic, and it strikes a great balance between a bike and a light motorcycle given its speed capabilities. Additionally, I’ve become loyal to the folks at Vintage Electric - Eddie, Corey and others have been superb in their willingness to answer my many questions and recommend adjustments. I’m proud to be an owner and I take every chance I can to promote the good things in life, of which this is one.
Whenever I used to come back from a ride at night, I used to tell me wife, “When I have a bad day, remind me to take the bike out.” That’s the liberating effect it has.
Thanks for bringing me so much joy, guys.
I figure waiting a few extra weeks for something that I will own for the rest of my life isn't a problem. I'm doing just fine right now riding my 48 volt Roadster. 3900 trouble free miles in 10 months. We still have some days suitable for riding out here in Buffalo, NY. If the temperature is above 40 degrees and dry, I'm on the road. The new bike won't see any winter use. I have had people ask to see a picture of my new machine, but I am waiting to show them it when I have one the way I ordered mine with all the added black.
Lastly, I just wanted to mention how grateful I am that I discovered Vintage Electric Bikes. They are the best, even life changing. It's been many many years since I have been this happy. It's just so great that they helped me to rediscover my passion for 2 wheels. I never would have thought a year ago that I would own 1 much less 2 of these fine machines. I am so glad to be fortunate enough to be able to do so. I'm sure that some people around me don't quite understand my extreme passion, but all I know is that I'm the one having all the fun.☺
Thanks for listening
Dan.
P.S.: You know what they say, "When you find your passion, just roll with it." 🚴
I’ve been biking to work for nearly a decade with a round trip anywhere from 25-35 miles. I needed a bike that could handle the rough roads of LA as well as a 2000 ft. elevation gain. I’d ridden quite a few e-bikes but was completely impressed with the Vintage’s ride. It’s durable, solid, fast and an amazing battery. With nearly 6000 miles on it still holds a full charge. Love this bike!
