72 Volt Scrambler 3.0

About six months and 1,500 miles in, and I can't rave about his bike more — blisteringly fast, dead-easy to maintain (brake pad swaps take 15 minutes, single-speed setup means no derailer fuss), and just gorgeous to look at. For San Francisco, the 72v line is the perfect car replacement; there's no street speed limit the e-bike can't reach in city limits. This e-bike is best thought of as an investment: You're getting a fast, reliable, bite-the-back-of-your-hand pretty eBike, one that can easily replace your car in a major city setting ... that will last ten, twenty years. On top of that, Vintage's 72v line is, by far, the lightest option in its direct competition — a plus you'll appreciate when getting the bike in and out of an apartment.

The team at Vintage is phenomenal and responsive. Eddie is a gem of a human and will make sure you're completely satisfied with the bike you ordered; Andrew is just as effusive and engaged; the service team over there is top-notch.

Finally got the bike upgrades completed and took my 1st real ride. I’ve ridden a bike down a mountain at over 45mph and this machine matches that wind in your face and chest feeling at full throttle on a flat road! Acceleration and handling at speed is rock solid! This is a motorcycle! Very pleased with the bike, great job Vintage! Time to put on some mileage now!

I have not received my bike yet, but it isn’t reached the timeframe that they gave me but the customer service and the ease and comfort of the employees and owner in the shop was great. They took me back showed me the service area showed me options. explained everything in the history of their bikes I was quite pleased. Can’t wait to my EV bike.

I live in the foothills and drop 1,400ft into towns to do errands and beer runs on my Scrambler. It's a 28 mile ride and the Scrambler gets the job done. It is a blast to ride. After 5 years, the battery has become less efficient and sadly no longer gets me back home. I will have to purchase the battery upgrade. I'll also get the suspension seatpost for added comfort and safety.

Hello everyone, I have owned my 72v scrambler for over 8 months, so far I have had a great experience! When I first got my bike the race mode pin did not work, it was a solid month of in and out of the shop. Eventually I contacted vintage electric, the emailed me back with in the day saying they would send a van to my house to come pick up the bike and take it to there main office in LA, within 3 days the bike was back at my house in perfect condition. Their customer service is perfect and I have no complaints, since then I have had to replace the brakes 1 time and had to get 1 new tire. Everything on this bike is perfect and made to last, I highly recommend you pick one up if you can.

I still ride but aches and pains have started to put a damper on my fun-factor. I have been considering electic (bikes) for about a year now. Saw an older gentleman zipping by on a Vintage with the biggest smile. The bike just looked gorgeous even though I only got a glimpse. After searching tons of thumbnail immages on the web, I finally found they have a website. Saw the price and hesitated. As it turned out, they were local to me too. I went to the shop and met Cameron, then Andrew. It was a great experience talking about our love of bikes. After taking a test ride, I was hooked. I bought a Scrambler and couldn't be happier. Hang on tight, this thing really moves! This is the most fun I've had in years. Now I'm the guy zipping by with the big smile. As for the price... my buddy said after he road it... "worth every penny". I agree.

I've got to hand it to the folks at Vintage Electric Bikes. I just received a limited edition Green Scrambler and have been on a few rides. This machine is a brilliant blend of classic retro styling and high tech performance. I have been riding e bikes for 11 years and this bike is truly a monster. All the power you could ever want (and more) makes this a truly unique bike. The motor is virtually silent, all you can hear is the sound of the tires on the road. The power delivery from the motor to the rear wheel is smooth and seamless. Also, the support from Cam and Eddie at the shop was great and they are always ready to help you solve any issue. I was hesitant to purchase this bike (or any bike) without a test ride, but it met the criteria for the bike I wanted and I am so glad I went with a Vintage. Will take it off road soon. I recently purchased an electric bike from vintage electric bikes and it came with the wrong bars.I was amazed at the level of service i got! Exceptional communication.It is rare these days or any days to receive service at this level.if you are considering a company to do business with regarding electric bikes,I highly recommend giving these guys a shot! I will definitely do business with them again!

I received my Scrambler in Boston this past week. I had fun in the city for a couple of days, then put it in the back of my SUV and drove over to Martha’s Vineyard with it. Now my kids are having a blast! Everyone absolutely loves it and wants me to buy more. Thanks a lot! :)

I had been lurking on the Vintage Electric site for a couple years, can't remember if it was on Jay Leno's Garage or American Pickers when I first saw a VE, but it seemed out of reach for me financially. When I got a new job in downtown San Francisco I checked on VE's financing option and it was possible for me to finally get a VE!
Being an artist and someone who grew up with a Harley-enthusiast dad the aesthetics of the VE's drew me in and the Scrambler just hit all the right buttons. I love the yellow tinted headlight with the metal mesh cover, the matte black paint the torque and speed of the bike and the comfort of the ride. (Of course I went for the top of the line model, because of course that is just my luck). I have done a little off-roading in the yard on my in-laws house in Mendocino County but mostly road riding.
I did flip it during rush hour traffic (strong brakes!) downtown after nearly rear-ending a car because this bike is just too fast to cruise in the bike lane with! I broke the computer but that was a fast and easy plug and play replacement from VE.

I will say that I recent let my wife ride it to work once and all she did was complain for days about it. She didn't like the stance of the bike. So she won't be riding it again.....lol!

Only thing that matters is that I love it and so do other people! People take pics of it passing by and when parked, that is if they can pick their jaws up off the ground fast enough!

The Scrambler is the most fun I have had on two wheels in a long time. This bike is an amazing jack-of-all-trades that is perfect for Alaska. It has quickly become my daily driver. I can get around town with ease and then open it up on the endless dirt roads and trails in the area to do what this bike is really meant for! Whether cruising to the coffee shop or rallying dirt roads through the mountains, the scrambler is an absolute riot and absolutely oozes style. I’ve never ridden a bike that turns heads like my Vintage Electric!

The Scrambler is a pure work of art.With the look a beauty that also delivers a true sense of quiet silky smooth rides on the road as well the ability to tackle the off road trails. After spending plenty of hours on road hogs in the Smokies mountains, motocross on the tracks and enduro I the woods I'm happy to say there is a little of all that in this electric bike which is something I never thought possible. After all these years yours is the only product I have ever offered a review for With its beautiful design combined with a feel of strength and power for a ride that can bring back fond memories, but more importantly deliver new ones.

I bought my Scrambler last year and can’t wipe the smile off of my face! It is well built and really goes! Love riding around town and get lots of comments and looks. I custom ordered mine and Eddie and the entire VEB team were great - just what I wanted!!!
