The Hendrix Edition: a different kind of instrument

The instruments that inspire us, translated into a run of twenty 72V Roadsters with a character all their own.

Vintage Hendrix Edition Roadster in its special instrument-inspired finish

Inspiration does not always come from the garage. Sometimes it comes from the instruments that make the music you love: their finishes, the way they sit in the hand, and the character they carry before a note is played.

The Hendrix Edition Roadster grew from that fascination. We took elements we loved about our favorite rock instruments and brought them to a 72V Roadster, creating a limited run of twenty bikes for riders around the world.

Built around a feeling

A great instrument has more than a specification. You notice the proportions. You notice the finish. You imagine what it would be like to use it. We think a bike can invite that same response.

For this edition, the question was how to bring that attitude into a complete Vintage without losing the shape that makes the Roadster recognizable. The frame remains the main line of the composition. The battery box, wheels, and mechanical details give it rhythm. The special finish changes the mood.

Still a Roadster at heart

The Hendrix Edition used our 72V Roadster platform with the 1,123Wh battery listed in its original specification. It belongs to an earlier chapter than the current 3.0 bikes, with its own place in the development of the Vintage family.

The reason to build it was always the ride. We wanted an electric bike with enough personality to make an ordinary trip feel a little less ordinary. Meet friends for coffee. Take the familiar road home. Give yourself a reason to enjoy the stretch between one place and the next.

Twenty expressions of the same idea

The Hendrix Edition is now part of our Limited Edition Archive. Its small production run reflects what these projects allow us to do: follow an idea because it interests us, and build something we would be excited to ride ourselves.

Explore it alongside the other archive builds, or meet today’s Roadster. And if you have a question about a past edition, give us a call. The stories behind our bikes are part of the pleasure of sharing them.
